Eclipse Day: Memory Monday August 21, 2017.

Greetings from a beautiful day here on the Outer Banks.  Like you we are engulfed with Eclipse fever here today as it is predicted that we will get 90% totality of the event at approximately 2:45 PM today. This is sure to be a real Memory Monday here at Outer Banks Blue.Speaking of which we bring you this week's Memory Monday photo submission which comes to us from Todd Brown of Norfolk, Virginia who stayed with us at the Kill Devil Hills property known as "Shades of Blue."Nothing better than kicking your feet up and relaxing on the beach.  Unless it happens to be on the one day that a total eclipse will take place!   There are several events around the Outer Banks today to commemorate this event which is the first coast to coast event of its kind in 99 years.  The largest event on the beach today seems to be at the Jockey's Ridge State Park in Nags Head.  A big crowd is expected there. We are told it will be another 690 years before an event like this happens again so kick back like Mr. Brown did, put on your Eclipse glasses, and enjoy! All the best from the beach!
