The Outer Banks Marathon brings people from throughout the United States to the Outer Banks every November and 2009 is expected to their biggest race ever. The weekend is full of races and activities that will suit the needs of all levels of runners and race fans. Outer Banks Blue is an accommodations partner for the races and will be participating in the OBX® Marathon Expo which is where runners will pick up their registration packets and will feature official race apparel; running and athletic gear; music; food and training clinics. Outer Banks Blue will be offering spectators at the Expo ‘Do It Yourself’ posters that will allow spectators to customize their own inspirational message to runners which they can hold up along the race route.

“The OBX Marathon is a great event for the area, its’ resident and visitors and we are proud to be a sponsor,” states Tim Cafferty, President of Outer Banks Blue Realty (pictured above with the pirates, second from right). “As an avid runner, who has participated in the last three half-marathons, I am looking forward to participating in my first full marathon this year and I cannot think of a better event to start with. Not only will there be great competition – but we will be racing on one of the most breathtaking courses for a marathon that I could think of.”

Tim Cafferty continues, “We are also looking forward to participating at the Expo on Friday and Saturday. It will be good to see old friends and make new ones. We hope that everyone will stop by our display and pick up an Outer Banks Blue ‘Do It Yourself’ poster to help you encourage your favorite runner. For those participants and spectators still looking for accommodations for the race – we invite you to give us a call at 866-546-0596 or check out our Outer Banks Marathon Rental Specials Here. We have some great Outer Banks vacation rental properties at special prices available – but they are filling up fast.”
