KH003-Blue Bungalow

My family and I stayed at the Blue Bungalow over Spring Break. This was our second time visiting the Outer Banks but our first time staying at this property. We were so impressed with this home! It has a very beachy vibe. The rooms are spacious, and the updates have been tastefully done. We loved the enclosed porch! The large dining area is very comfortable, and the bathrooms were very nice. The information screen in the living room is great! We were incredibly comfortable in this home. The owners were also very welcoming, leaving a nice care package to get us started, including a dog bowl for our pets! Unfortunately, our dogs didn't get to come with us on this trip, but we thought that was such a thoughtful gesture. There were also several books and board games available, which was really nice. The home is located in great proximity to the beach and to several shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants near us were closed for the season when we were there, but we look forward to returning when they are open for business. There were several grocery stores nearby, and we walked to Walgreens a couple of times as it could be accessed from the end of the street. This was such a relaxing trip for our family. We enjoyed it immensely and never ran out of things to do! We look forward to returning and would love to stay at the Blue Bungalow again!

We absolutely love Blue Bungalow!!! Our third year...We had a fantastic time this year. The beach is so close. Love that it's pet friendly... Our pups felt right at home.Great time ...even with Hurricane Ian!! Highly recommend!! K we will be back!!A++++++++++

This lovely cottage was a great find. Very well designed and felt very welcoming. We arrived when the weather wasn't great and had taken a toll on the screened in porch but the owner took care of the problem promptly. He seemed to care about making our vacation a good one and it was nice to meet him. The next week was beautiful. We had a small problem with the air conditioner but Outer Banks Blue had it fixed right away. Would love to come back another 2 weeks but with the economy and gas prices unfortunately we will not be able to at this time. I recommend this home to anyone looking for a happy place without any worries.

We fell in love with this property, great location, beautifully decorated, equipped with many conveniences to make our stay easier and more comfortable. The hot tub was a huge plus during the off season and the beach was within walking distance for a nice spring day walk. We didn't need the owners for anything but they checked in to ensure our stay was going well which was appreciated.

We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home. The owners have thought of everything and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Although because of a sickness and death in the family we were only there 1 week of the 7 the location was great. The decor and house were great. Would rent again for sure. And also Outer Banks Blue was very attentive during the time frame we actually have rented for 10 years from OBB

We had a lot to consider, the pandemic, the forming hurricane and the family practicing safe pandemic protection. Well, we loved the two weeks. We had planned to cook in every meal and brought lots of supplies. We did fill up counter space, cabinets and the refrigerator. Loved being a short walk from the beach. Found a lot of beach handling social distancing. The WiFi supported all of our devices. Tried to not watch TV, although the Weather Channel got a workout as the hurricane approached. The only :-( was the two bathrooms for four bedrooms with one bathroom in the master. The dogs loved it or so I'd guess based on Arf Arf. We liked that the area was fairly quiet even though 158 is one block to the West. If you don't need a pool, love hot tubs, have cute puppies, this is your place.

The Blue Bungalow was perfect for our family of 6 and a dog. It's well equipped with everything you need, including a 2nd refrigerator and beach chairs. Short walk to the beach with an easy access and lifeguard stand. The house renovation & decor is very tasteful, and it's absolutely clean and cozy. Bed's were comfortable, and bathrooms were clean and not too small. We loved the personal touches and handwritten notes from the owners who clearly take pride in their beach home. We would definitely love to stay in the Blue Bungalow again and again!

The house was very well-appointed. Kitchen was great. We loved that we were so close to the beach, and 3 of our favorite places down there- Rundown, High Cotton, and Art's Place. The screened porch and hot tub were very popular. Plenty of chairs and fishing rods to use. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely love this house! Well maintained and cared for. Inside and out was wonderful. Rent a house every year and Blue Bungalow is just perfect..so we went ahead and rented it again for 2021. Very let friendly. Yard is perfect... no burs or Cacti in our doggies paws..if you rent..please clean up after your dog...they even provide poop bags!! The walk to the beach is so nice!!! Love everything about it!! Thank you to the owners for sharing your home!!

Blue Bungalow was a wonderful place to stay. My husband, dog and I stayed there for a week. My comment to friends was that I felt like I was in a Nancy Myers movie- it was so bright and lovely and updated. The master bed was easily the most comfortable bed I've ever had in the OBX- and we have been renting there for years. The proximity to the beach was great- but it was also close to the highway in a good way in terms of getting around the island. The hot tub was a great bonus. This place was perfect for a couple- and I can see it being a great spot for a cozy girls weekend or for two couples. The home owners were also a delight! I will also add that this was my first time in the OBX during the "off" season (it was December) and I was pleasantly surprised by how much was open- and I really lucked out with the weather. I will definitely be considering another December trip to the OBX and would 100% stay in the Blue Bungalow again.

If you are looking for a place to just relax and be comfortable- look no more! This was one of the best beach houses I have stayed at! Very close to the beach! Such an ideal location and it had everything we needed! It was so relaxing and comfortable that we were sad to leave on the last day. The owners of the house really took care in making this a memorable beach vacation- a home away from home. We are looking to book this house next year!

Fell in the love with this place from the first time I saw it on the website. The rental company was great and easy to work with making our rental process easy. The home was inviting from the moment we walked in and very comfy for our family of 8 and fur babies. The owners really put a lot of attention into details of this house. We enjoyed the many laughs and talks on the front porch and the delicious meals at the kitchen table. The beds were so comfy. I think I enjoyed the ship lap walls and king size bed the most. The hot tub was a nice treat especially on the cooler days. The beach is a really short walk away and allowed us to go every day. Shopping and restaurants are all very close. The house had everything we needed and made our stay perfect. We are thankful that the Blue Bungalow make our trip back to the OBX in 14 years a memorable one.
