Sunset Platform has a perfect position for sunset viewings. Sea Oats Park provides a basketball half-court with one hoop, a children’s play area, a soccer field, and picnic tables.

Additional amenity details:
Private Pools are open from May 3, 2024 until October 13, 2024 and May 2, 2025 until October 12, 2025. Pool heat is not an option for this property. Hot tubs are available year-round. This property provides a $250 credit toward beach gear delivered to your rental property. *Delivery fees may apply.* Offer only good for full weeks booked with check-ins beginning between May 24, 2024 and September 1, 2024, and May 23, 2025 and August 31, 2025.

All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Great but needs better TV setup.

Everything about this property showed attention to detail and we had a very enjoyable stay. The only complaint would be the main room Roku TV (we never used the bedroom sets) - very temperamental and needlessly exasperating!

Great space! Fill it with a bigger TV and more seating

“Rumor Has It” is an exceptional rental property experience. We’ve rented 5 different OBX properties in our 12+ years of vacations to the OBX. This was our first year pivoting from Nags Head to Southern Shores. We enjoyed Nags Head, but Southern Shores offers more quiet and less “tourism” so we’re happy to return next summer. “Rumor Has It” is situated at a great location on a relatively quiet, yet convenient street between Duck and the major shopping areas near the Wright Memorial Bridge. It’s a corner property which adds to its quiet setting. It was very clean and well maintained. New exterior paint since we first saw it last year. It’s a very short walk to the beach, just 2 houses away. The swimming pool is spectacular with a 1/2 bath(!) just steps away without having to go into the main house. Each bedroom is en suite which is our first consideration in any rental properties at the OBX. Tons of parking. Open plan kitchen/dining/living room make it a great place to enjoy each others company. We were 8 adults for 2 weeks and our unanimous criticism was towards the size and service of the main television in the living room. We gathered in the living room nightly for sports and movies. ROKU is the pits. It’s a 3-5 minute set-up and wait-to-watch a sports event. For the price we’re paying, we would expect the convenience, selection, speed and reliability of cable or satellite service. The TV itself in the living-room NEEDS to be upgraded to a MUCH LARGER SCREEN size given the size of the living room. The living room could easily accommodate another sofa and love seat to be as inviting as the seating for the dining experience. The dining tables accommodate 20 for a sit-down meal which was excellent, but currently the sectional sofa seats only 1/2 of that number comfortably. We greatly enjoyed our experience in the house. The TV size & service and the seating in the living room are the only criticism holding back from a five star review. 4 stars from us. We’ll be back next summer, but we’re always looking for something better.
