Evacuation Order Expanded to Corolla
The Mandatory Evacuation order for visitors of the Outer Banks has now been expanded to include Currituck County which includes all properties in Corolla.
Mandatory Evacuation order for Dare County
The Dare County Control Group has issued a Mandatory Evacuation order for Visitors beginning at noon today (9/3/19). Residents are under a mandatory evacuation order beginning at 6:00 AM tomorrow (9/4/19).

Greetings from the Outer Banks. We are experiencing a glorious Monday after we had a wonderful weekend of cooler than normal temperatures. This weekend temps were only in the 70’s after nearly 3 months of daily temps in the 90’s. In short – it has been a hot summer. This has been a great respite for a couple of days. Super surfin’ weather too as the waves were great.
Good Monday morning and we hope you had a great weekend. This past weekend was a great example of the changing weather on the Outer Banks. We had beautiful sunny skies, we had strong thunderstorms, and we had picturesque landscapes after the weather moved out.
Good morning. This Monday, the first Monday of August is another great day on the Outer Banks. The weather has been glorious this summer on the beach. Temperatures have been fantastic, rain has been politely staying away, and people have enjoyed their time here.
By now you have no doubt heard that this week is the most popular viewing week for the Discovery Channel. It is Shark week on the television network, and it is the most popular week of viewing for the channel – by far. People have a real fascination with sharks.

Good Monday from the Outer Banks. Temps are cooler today and we have some showers moving through this morning before the sun returns later today and for the rest of the week. A great time to take a relaxing walk on the beach with your pups.
