Greetings again from a beautiful morning on the Outer Banks. The sky is nothing less than artistic this morning as the sun is rising over the ocean to start another week here at the beach.
Good morning from a beautiful and for the most part back to normal Outer Banks. They last week has been quite a week with Hurricane Florence disrupting everything in the area. Family vacations were interrupted, the area was evacuated, we watched with anxiousness, and are now trying to get back to our regular schedules now that the storm has passed.
So while everyone seems to have their eyes peeled towards Hurricane Florence we thought we would do our part to offer some distraction on this beautiful Monday morning by doing our normal thing – giving you some great memories of our guests with Memory Monday. Today is a good day for Duck Donuts!
So does anyone know where summer went? It is hard to believe this beautiful morning on the OBX is actually Labor day! It seems like yesterday that we were anticipating Memorial day and the start of summer, and now things are winding down already.
Happy Monday! As our local school systems in the Outer Banks area start back today we have a little bit of sadness as it means this summer is quickly coming to a close. We look back on a fun and happy summer that created a lot of easy times for us to enjoy. Now it is onward and upward to a wonderful fall season!
Greetings from the Outer Banks on this beautiful Monday. The summer is getting shorter each day, but the beach is bustling this week as many folks are enjoying all the beach has to offer. This week on Memory Monday we share with you the Mike’s Memories who shares with us several pictures from his recent stay with Blue.
Greetings from the OBX! Summer is in full swing, and we are enjoying every minute of it. Lots of things to do and places to see, and we are trying to take it all in. Speaking of which tomorrow is a historic day here on the Outer Banks as it marks the 100th anniversary of the Mirlo Rescue on Hatteras Island.
Greetings from a glorious Outer Banks on this Monday morning as the sun is shining brightly, the ocean is inviting, the rain has stopped (after 15 straight days of some sort of precipitation), and the temperatures are going to be in the high 80’s. It is one of those days where you just want to jump in a pool and land a perfect cannonball!
Here at all things Outer Banks, we like to keep things light and positive, but this Monday we have to be honest – this last week was a tough one. We had a lot of rain in the last 7 days, and our guests that were here last week were challenged to stay sane. We had rain every single day over the last 9 days, and so rainy day activities were all the rage on the Outer Banks.
Greetings from a cooler and wetter Outer Banks on this Monday morning. We had a big rain event this past Saturday which has set the scene for a week of unsettled weather here. Much different than what has been a very sunny and dry summer so far. This week on Memory Monday we share photos of some friends that recently visited the OBX and shared some great weather, and great memories.
