Family is what the Outer Banks is all about.

This week's Memory Monday Photo submission comes to us from Diane Hebler from Swanton, Maryland who sends us pics from her family vacation this past August. They get together every year in August on the Outer Banks like so many other families do from all around the country.Diane and her family stayed in the Outer Banks Blue vacation rental home "High Tide" in Nags Head, and here's a couple of memories from that trip.Diane describes the first picture as a group of her folks after enjoying a wonderful dinner at Jimmy's Seafood Buffet in Kitty Hawk after a day at the beach. "We had to wait to get in because there were a lot of people, but it was well worth the wait. The food was awesome and we definitely did not go away hungry!!'For those of you that haven't experienced Jimmy's Seafood Buffet in Kitty Hawk you are missing out. Located at milepost 4 on the Rt. 158 (by-pass road) they serve an epic seafood spread each evening during the summer. They don't take reservations so you need to come early and expect to wait in line to get your table. The line usually starts forming at about 2;30 PM and the restaurant opens daily at 4 PM. From the creamy crab bisque to the tuna, flounder, oysters, crab legs, and even chicken tenders and mac n cheese there is something for everyone at this legendary eating establishment. Here's a link to their web site https://www.jimmysobxbuffet.com/Thanks to Diane for mentioning Jimmy's for the first time here on Everything Outer Banks! The second picture here is a beautiful sunrise picture taken from the deck of the house where they stayed. 'We had seen the sunrise many mornings and finally, on the day we were going to be leaving, I thought it was too beautiful, not to take a picture.'Thanks to Diane, and thanks to everyone who submits their photos to our Memory Monday Photo contest. All the best from the beach!
