Fishing on the OBX - Memory Monday 5/24/21

Summer has arrived a little early on the Outer Banks with temperatures climbing into the 80's this past weekend. We have a bit of a cool down today, but it is a wonderful weather week ahead. A great time to enjoy any activity on the beach including going fishing.

Wet a line

The Outer Banks is well known as a world class spot to go fishing. From deep sea big game angling to fresh water fish we have it all. Many state records have been set for catches made here in the area.

This week's Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from a group that had a great day catching fish. Kelly Nisiewicz of Selkirk, New York who stayed with Blue at the Nags Head vacation rental property "Shore N Dipity" sends us this photo.

It looks like this group had the time of their life catching their dinner.

Fishing

There are many fishing options on the Outer Banks. All of the local tackle shops are glad to get you set up with a rod, reel, and the latest information about where to catch fish right off of the beach. You can go to a pier and rent equipment and start catching fish right away as well. Another option is to charter a boat at one of the local marinas where you can hire an experienced captain who can put you on the fish every time. There are options for every skill level and appetite in the area.

Thank you Kelly for sharing this great photo. We look forward to serving you and your family again soon.

All the best from the beach!
