Hurricane Dorian Update #2 12:00 PM 9/3/19

Evacuation Order Expanded to Corolla

The Mandatory Evacuation order for visitors of the Outer Banks has now been expanded to include Currituck County which includes all properties in Corolla.

Dare County issued a mandatory evacuation effective at noon today (9/3/19). Currituck County has now followed suit with an evacuation order for the beaches of Currituck effective at 8:00 AM tomorrow (9/4/19).

All visitors should make final preparations to leave the area. Guests should not plan on returning to their rental properties before the end of their rental period.

The Dare County evacuation continues to go smoothly today at noon, and we thank all guests who have departed as requested. Both Currituck and Dare Counties are under a state of emergency.

This means hurricane force winds and conditions could impact our area within the next 48 hours.

The effects of Hurricane Dorian are expected to reach the southern Outer Banks as early as Wednesday night. High winds, driving rain and tidal flooding are expected to affect the beaches of the Outer Banks throughout the storm.
