Evacuation Order lifted at 4 PM Today for Dare County visitors
The emergency control group for the Dare County areas of the Outer Banks met early this morning and have lifted the evacuation order due to Hurricane Dorian effective at 4 PM today. This is only for guests arriving north of Oregon Inlet in the towns of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, and Duck.
The evacuation order continues for guests on Hatteras Island, and the Corolla area. Corolla area Guests should be alert to text messages or phone call from our office advising that your rental is available. The main problem in the Corolla area is that many properties there do not have electricity. Obviously it makes no sense to allow you access to a rental property with no power.

There are still some sporadic power outages in the area, but crews are working diligently on restoring power due to Hurricane Dorian.
We are in the process of assessing damage and preparing the properties for your arrival. It is our goal to have all Outer Banks Blue properties ready for entry by 4 p.m. Our priority is to check for damage and prepare the interiors of each property. Exterior cleanup and servicing of pools and spas will take extra time. Everyone is working towards your comfort and safety as quickly as possible, but arriving guests should be aware that conditions are not ideal in the area.
Thank you for your continued patience as we get back to normal operations.
