Thanks goes out this week for this photo memory from a recent guest of Outer Banks Blue. One of the most memorable experiences a visitor can have on the Outer Banks is to capture one of our glorious sunrises, or revel in one of our fantastic sunsets.
This week’s memory Monday submission has a great shot of the latter! Currituck Sound sits just on the west side of the northern Outer Banks. The shallow water there (the water is only 8 to 10 feet at the deepest portion of the 2 1/2 mile wide body of water) allows for very calm water when the wind dies down, and the sunlight from a colorful sunset reflects off of the water in a beautiful way.
Note the osprey nest in the foreground of this time lapse shot and the boaters in the background of the 2nd shot enjoying the view too.
Thanks for sharing your photo memories. We look forward to serving you again soon!
All the best from the beach.
