Good morning from the Outer Banks where we are transitioning from the heat and beauty of summer. In the middle of the night we switched from summer to fall. That brings mixed emotions as we leave behind summer, but we look forward to cooler days and nights. Some are saying “Yes!” This is the time of year many like the best here on the beach.
Fall brings with it shorter days, but we like to think slower days as well. A good time for walks on the beach. A good time to read a book on the beach. A good time to propose on the beach!
Proposal on vacation
This week’s Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from Sheryl Brodsky of Reminderville, Ohio (seriously, that is where she is from) who stayed with Outer Banks Blue at the Nags Head vacation rental property “Footloose.” She reports that she and her then boyfriend got up early for a sunrise walk on the beach. He took the opportunity to ask her to marry him.
She, of course, said yes.
We love this picture, and are sure that “Footloose” will have a role in future vacations for Sheryl and her family for years to come as a result of this picture. Thank you for sharing it Sheryl. All of us wish you the very best in your marriage.
Keep in mind that we post a picture from one of our guests each Monday here on our blog (Everything Outer Banks). Then once per month we randomly select a winner to receive a $100 discount on their next year’s stay with us at Outer Banks Blue.
We look forward to serving Sheryl and we look forward to serving you and your family again soon.
All the best from the beach!
