Each day for the past 7 days the local emergency management service on the Outer Banks has issued a high heat warning, and heat advisories as heat index numbers have reached at least 100 every day for the last 8 days.
The good news is a break is on the horizon. Tomorrow temperatures are supposed to plummet all the way down into the 80's! Phew, we are looking forward to that.
In the meantime we are looking for a good place to get out of the sun and heat. This week's Memory Monday photo gives us a great idea. It comes to us from Rachel Moore of Silver Spring, Maryland who stayed with Outer Banks Blue earlier this month. She captured this cool photo and shares it with us today.
