Greetings on this beautiful Monday from the Outer Banks. It has been unbelievably hot here on the OBX lately, but today it is pleasant and making for a good beach day. That brings us to this week’s Memory Monday photo submission from the Winward family vacation that occurred at one of our properties just a week ago. Day at The Beach!
We hope you are enjoying this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Whenever there is a holiday at the beach we think of heading to the beach, and indeed this week’s Memory Monday Photo submission reminds us of that. Loreal Hooten provides this week’s pictures of a day at the beach in the “Four Wheel Drive Territory” of the northern Outer Banks. As anyone who has been there knows where the pavement ends in Corolla the fun on the beach begins as there is another 12 miles of beach only accessible with four wheel drive vehicles. The northern beach area of the Outer Banks is accessible to anyone with an appropriate vehicle. You can even catch a glimpse of the Corolla Wild Horses. Be aware however that you may not approach these magnificent animals or feed them.
