Here at all things Outer Banks, we like to keep things light and positive, but this Monday we have to be honest – this last week was a tough one. We had a lot of rain in the last 7 days, and our guests that were here last week were challenged to stay sane. We had rain every single day over the last 9 days, and so rainy day activities were all the rage on the Outer Banks.
Family Reunion – Memory Monday 5/14/18
We hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day yesterday. Our Mother’s hit the beach yesterday here on the Outer Banks as temperatures were in the 80’s and the sun was out and bright. What a wonderful weekend we had. Great to see our Mom’s and visit with our family. We hope you were able to do the same.

Today’s Memory Monday brings a bit of mixed emotions as we mark the unofficial end of summer today. While we have great memories of Summer 2014, we also are going to miss the warm weather, calm seas, and fun outdoor activities that summer provides.

Look At That!!!
Today’s Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from Suzanne Ryerson of West Milton, Ohio. We wanted to share this photo with you on the day after Mother’s day as it is so cute! This picture was actually taken in 2008 and was taken at an oceanfront rental property on Hatteras Island. Something outside obviously captivated the interest of Suzanne’s nieces and nephews who were all face first against the glass and looking outside.

This week’s Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from Holly Miller of Hanover, Pennsylvania who stayed with Outer Banks Blue last September in the property “Rum Runner” in Southern Shores. “Rum Runner” is right beside the Kitty Hawk Fishing Pier, and these photos prove you don’t have to go out on the pier to catch great fish on the Outer Banks.
