Happy Monday! As our local school systems in the Outer Banks area start back today we have a little bit of sadness as it means this summer is quickly coming to a close. We look back on a fun and happy summer that created a lot of easy times for us to enjoy. Now it is onward and upward to a wonderful fall season!
Greetings from the OBX! We hope you are looking forward to a great week as we are here at Outer Banks Blue. OBX air temperatures are predicted to be close to 80 degrees this Wednesday. It is a great time to get out and enjoy the weather. Maybe put in a little deck time to get our suntans going!
So tomorrow is July 4th so let us be the first to wish you and your family a great Independence day celebration. Lots of fireworks displays will be going on around the Outer Banks this week including 3 tomorrow night (Manteo, Corolla, and Avon) and then another one in Kill Devil Hills this Friday night. We can’t wait for the moment when the displays begin around the obx. Always lots of fun!
Whether you are traveling with your own clan, a group of friends, or other families, road tripping as a group has perks. One of the biggest advantages of family travel is congregating in one of those spacious, gorgeous, oceanfront Outer Banks rental houses you’ve always admired.
So have you been feeling the symptoms of March Madness? It started for several of our staff members around here last night with the announcement of the teams selected to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, and we believe work production will be diminished around here at Outer Banks Blue starting this Thursday as everyone starts watching their brackets and cheering for teams they have never pulled for before.
Happy Monday everyone! It is getting to be a happy version of a broken record as we greet you on a beautiful Monday here from the Outer Banks. This past week was unbelievably good with regard to the weather with temps this past Saturday reaching the mid-70’s….in February!
Welcome to August!
It is hard to believe that today is the first day of August. Only 5 months left in this year 2016 and only a few short weeks before kids go back to school and summer will be over before we know it.
Did you know that Outer Banks beaches are famous among surfing enthusiasts? You don’t have to go all the way to Hawaii, California, Indonesia—or even Australia—to catch great waves. We have them right here off the North Carolina shore.
Another 2 Fer Monday!
This week’s Memory Monday Photo Submission Contest brings us two more great photo memories of Outer Banks’ Vacations.
Michelle Niles shows you some coverage of the beach nourishment from Milepost 20 this week, while the project is underway and Milepost 17 where a portion is completed. In just a few short months, the project will be over and we will have much more beach to enjoy for Summers to come!
