Evacuation Order lifted at 4 PM Today for Dare County visitors

The emergency control group for the Dare County areas of the Outer Banks met early this morning and have lifted the evacuation order due to Hurricane Dorian effective at 4 PM today. This is only for guests arriving north of Oregon Inlet in the towns of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, and Duck. READ MORE

A state of emergency and a mandatory evacuation order continues for all of the Outer Banks due to Hurricane Dorian. Access to the Outer Banks has been closed effective 8 PM on Thursday night and a curfew is in effect for the majority of the area which limits movement around the beaches. READ MORE
