This week's Memory Monday Photo Contest entry comes to us from Terri Motley of Leesburg, Virginia. The Motley's have stayed with Outer Banks Blue on multiple occasions, but most recently they stayed with us over the Memorial Day holiday week in June in the property "No Wake Zone."
Ms. Motley explains this photo as follows:
My husband, my brother and I (plus our dogs!) stayed in South Nags Head over the Memorial week. We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks with our dogs for several years - my husband is an avid surf-fisherman. I took the photograph from the boardwalk in Duck. We drove up to Duck that evening specifically to photograph the sunset over the sound. I had been taking sunset photographs from Oregon Inlet and was looking for a different perspective. Outer Banks is "mecca" for shutterbugs! Got some great surfing photos (sadly, no releases obtained to publish) and some beautiful photos of my Sheltie in the surf. My favorite is the sunset photograph because I think I captured a peaceful "end of the day" in the Outer Banks. I consider myself a serious photography hobbyist and never run out of great photo-ops in the Outer Banks!
