Greetings from a warm and wonderful Outer Banks . We hope you are sitting down when we tell you that this weekend we had temperatures in the 70's both days, and indeed we are expecting another day in the 70 degree range on this Memory Monday. This Monday we are calling our post Winter time - Family Time.
Peaceful Times on the OBX
At this time of year we don't expect a lot of visitors on the Outer Banks, and indeed yesterday there were no lines at our favorite breakfast places. In fact some of our favorite breakfast places were closed as our valued friends in the restaurant business take some time off at this time of the year. We don't blame them for relaxing a bit with family.
That is the subject of our Memory Monday photo this week and that is family. This photo comes to us from Morgan Blach who stayed with Outer Banks Blue over the Christmas holiday. What a great photo she provided to us.
Look at that joy in their faces. Everyone seems to be having a good time on the beach even when they have to wear long pants and a jacket.
There is something about the peace an solitude of being on the beach when no one else was around that is very attractive. It looks like these guys really took advantage of having some private family time on one of america's best beaches.
