New for 2021: New owners that are making major updates, will be a Dog-Friendly vacation rental; repainted interior and exterior, new light fixtures, new artwork, new sofa set for the top-level living room, new curtains, new 50-inch 4K UHD Roku TVs in every bedroom, new mattresses for every adult room (12-inch hybrid memory foams), one more window in the Great Room, new entryway chandelier, new sofas and accent chairs in the bedrooms, completely redone screened porch (sectional sofa, curtains, new one-piece screen, new lighting, new carpet), new Trex deck chairs, outdoor golf practice net, new outdoor round sofa, approx. 800 sqft addition to the rec room so there is a room for a sitting area, bar, and ping pong table.

Atlantic Belle (formerly Mutual Fun) is an Outer Banks semi-oceanfront property in Southern Shores located 2 miles north of the Route 158 turnoff so you can get to your summer vacation without sitting in the Highway 12 traffic for 2 hours. The property features nine master bedrooms, a Home Theater Room, and a rec room with a full-size pool table, a ping pong table, and a bar area. This property boasts plenty of room for spending family time together or plenty of separate areas for quiet time apart.

Located across a very low-traffic street from the ocean, this property has good top-floor ocean views, and a Great Room to accommodate larger families with ease. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a pantry, and water filters built into the sink to save guests the trouble of buying and hauling bottled water. The Great Room features wood floors, a family-style sitting area around a stylish fireplace, and two dining tables to seat 20 people comfortably. 

The 14 x 28-foot concrete pool will delight you. The pool deck has a hot tub for six, generous decking for sunning, and a shaded area for relaxing in view of the pool. The sand volleyball court and basketball goal keep the kids active and busy when not on the beach. This area of Southern Shores is peaceful and quaint, with no heavy traffic on the north end of Ocean Blvd. It’s an easy walk to the beautiful, quiet Southern Shores beach.

Additional amenity details: 
Private Pools are open from May 3, 2024 until October 13, 2024 and May 2, 2025 until October 12, 2025. Pool heat is not an option for this property. Pets are not allowed in pools under any circumstances. An additional fee will be charged to leaseholder for the chemical balance, cleaning or damage that would cause the replacement of a vinyl pool liner. Hot tubs are available year-round.


All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Great Vacation
We were a group of 6 families and 7 grand kids.. this house had everything you needed and then some.. You will not have to bring any coffee pots, Keurig, pots/pans etc.. Plenty of room for everyone to do their thing. When we first got there, the grill was absolutely gross and we had 2 chairs broken.... We reached out to the realtor and someone (Joe Joe) came out within a few hours... He said we would have a new grill the next day and the chairs replaced.... True to his word, a brands new grill was delivered, 3 new chairs and a lounge chair... he also did a few minor changes with the A/C unit and a shower head... We had the best weather and even though the house is not on the beach, my 3 year old grandson had no problem going back and forth a few times a day... We rode bikes into Duck as well as traveled there... Took a ride to Kitty Hawk for crabbing, did night crabbing on the beach with the kids and enjoyed the pool and hot tub.there are 3 refrigerators so you wont need to worry about where to put your cold items. The beach is actually a nice size for families... Not overwhelming to walk to the water and the temperature was perfect... Couldn't get the kids out at times.. I really want to thank you maintenance crew for quick service ( Joe Joe and friend) and checking with us during the week. I would definitely return for a family vacation

Absolutely perfect.
We did not get lucky with the weather for the week of our beach trip. 30-60 mph winds and rain all week and highs in the 50s. I was so grateful for all of the things to do in this beautiful home! We still had a great week playing pool and ping pong and watching movies. Beautiful home with everything you need for a great week at the beach, even when the weather doesn’t cooperate!

Awesome Stay!
Atlantic Belle had all the amenities you could ask for. Plenty of space and just a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quieter but not far at all from the main drag and restaurants. Comfortable place for large families or a group of friends. Looking forward to coming back and checking out the new rec room!

LOVE the Renovation, Terrific Location
For those who have been to this house before, you would be shocked with the renovated interior, as we were, in the best of ways. We used to go to Duck every year since that was where our friends had been renting. But since we discovered Southern Shores, we just loved its neighborhood feel and it really helps not to get stuck in traffic for another hour each way. That's how we found this house initially. It's a spacious 9 Bedroom, each with a bath. We don't like sharing the bathrooms so it worked perfectly. The house under the old name was comfortable but felt a bit bland. We signed up for this season and was expecting more or less the same thing until we walked in the door. It's updated, super stylish, and makes me want to hang around the house even more, even though the house is quite close to the beach access. There are so many things we like about the renovation. To name a few, I LOVE that chandelier above the stairway. It's pretty during the day but you should really look at it at night. It's mesmerizing. A few of us sat on staircase and stared at it one night.. That may sound silly but it's really cool. I also LOVE that screened porch outside the dining room. I remember there used to be a simple resin table, but now it's one of my favorite part of the house. I enjoy having coffee there in the morning, reading news in the morning breeze. I need something like that in my own house. And the game room!! It was barely large enough to fit the pool table in the past and now it's a huge space with a real theatre room. We tried the new ping pong table. I realize I am no good at the game, but nonetheless a good workout while hunting down the balls. We absolutely LOVED our week there.

The beach is located 240 ft from the property. There is a public beach path located at Mullet Circle, Dolphin Run or Pompano Court that you would be able to use. 

Is the sofa in the gameroom a sleeper sofa?
