Maintenance Manager


Outer Banks Blue Realty Services is currently seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Manager for their Outer Banks office.  This position is a key position within the company on the delivery of customer service needs to our customers and clients and is not an entry level position.  At this time these are the qualifications/qualities expected from a candidate:

-Ability to pass a drug test

-Intimate knowledge of maintenance operations and ability to lead a team of professionals

-Reliable transportation to report to work

-At least a high school education with some college education preferred

-At least 2 years of management experience

-Positive attitude with background in customer service

-Ability to supervise maintenance employees while keep them highly organized

-Ability to manage constant flow of work and coordinate and communicate clearly via e-mail, text, phone and written word.

-Ability to generate and close out work orders in company’s software system

-Regular meetings with management to review expenses and give advice on improving financial operations of the department.

-Clearly and quickly consult with homeowners on any maintenance issues that may arise

-At least monthly meetings with department heads to review expenses and make budget adjustments as needed

-Annual budget creation and implementation for maintenance with focus on profitability

-Work closely with Company’s Accountant on billing and payables

-Other duties as discussed with and assigned by the company management

-No conflict of interest with additional jobs “on the side.”
