Enjoy your own private pool plus the hot tub and an easy walk to the beach making this location great for your family. Wow! If you need plenty of space to stretch out, this is the perfect destination. The pool has plenty of furniture for lounging and two tables for snacks, drinks, or meals “al fresco”. The hot tub is poolside so you can watch the kids while the stress melts away in the jets. The poolside Tikki bar is where you will be hanging out every day and the cabana half bath is a great addition for kids at the pool. There is even a mini fridge for cool drinks for you! Never worry about the kids being bored here, with a volleyball net, basketball, and horseshoes outside, and we have game central inside! The ground-level rec room has a full-size pool table, a mini foosball table, and an LCD TV. Ready to relax and enjoy the view? The rooftop deck has great ocean views! The family chef can choose either 2 park grills or the convenient gas grill…what’s your preference?

Inside the game room has a full-size pool table, foosball, and TV with DVD and Surround Sound. There is a full-size refrigerator for easy drinks and fun by the pool. A landing has a study area if you need to get away for a quiet catch-up for work, or just relax with a book out of the fray for a while. There is a full-size sleeper sofa if you need extra space. Five master bedrooms give adults plenty of privacy or will be great for teens. TVs in all bedrooms are a must and are provided for you at “Terrapin Station”.

The top level is spacious, warm, and inviting! The kitchen has an island/bar, all countertops are granite, and two dishwashers and seating for 4 at the bar. The dining table offers seating for 10, plus the additional turret-style corner room has a table for 6 for meals or games. The living area has a Smart TV and Gas Fireplace. Decks galore here with a wrap-around deck on the mid-level and a partial wrap-around deck on top…you can relax in the breeze in every direction! Another gathering area in the loft has a couple of sofas to relax with your iPad or book.

A beach cart is provided to make the walk to the beach easy for long, lazy days on the beautiful beaches of Corolla!

Additional amenity details:
Private Pools are open from April 29, 2022 until October 14, 2022, April 28, 2023 until October 15, 2023, and May 3, 2024 until October 18, 2024. Pool heat is an available option in this property, for a fee of $400 plus tax. Hot tubs are available year-round. Gas fireplaces are shut down from May 15 until September 15.

All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

What a great house!! A must visit!

My family and I have stayed in this house for 2years in row now. It is an awesome house. One of the best we have stayed in so far. The house is plenty spacious and has loads of things to do! From the game room with pool table, a game machine, and a new Karaoke machine! Then oustside which is my favorite part plenty of space with a big heated pool which is awesome for the time of year we vacation. As well as a hot tub and tiki bar with mini fridge so no need to run back and forth in the house for drinks on those warm days when you can soak up the sun. Then there is s crows nest which is perfect for looking out to the ocean and the rest of the whalehead community. My favorite relaxing spot! This house a must visit!

Terrapin Station

Always have a great time at Terrapin Station. Have been vacationing here with my family for a few years now and this year invited a group of high school friends to share the fun! The house is clean and beautiful and comes with everything you can think of and then some! You can’t go wrong here. We look forward to many more memories made at Terrapin Station.

Superb Vacation Property

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Terrapin Station during our Outer Banks vacation. This home has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Some of the many amenities include a heated pool, adjacent hot tub, tiki bar, billiards, karaoke, an extensive collection of dvd movies, games, puzzles, gas fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen. The house is open and airy and is tastefully decorated. Five of the larger bedrooms have private bathrooms while the lower four bedrooms share two bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own television. This home is able to accommodate large groups and would be great for a family reunion. The beach is just a short, safe five minute walk away. My wife and I have been visiting the Outer Banks for over 35 years and this is, by far, the best beach house we have ever stayed in. Wether you are a Grateful Dead fan, a Maryland sports supporter, or a person in need of rest and relaxation, Terrapin Station is just for you!

Best beach vacation in years!! A perfect house for a great vacation!!

Terrapin Station was the perfect OBX rental house and the greatest value for our vacation dollar! The house was very clean, and so comfortable and gorgeously decorated! The five master bedroom suites all with private bathrooms made us all so happy, and all the beds were very comfortable!! It was a short walk to the beautiful beach, or we spent hours in the heated pool which was wonderful!! Our family loved the tiki bar and the poolside sound system which was used daily while we spent our days outside in the pool, playing volleyball, cornhole, horseshoes, or relaxing in the amazing hot tub! There were so many other great amenities, definitely something for everyone! Just a few blocks away were great restaurants, a grocery store, neat shops, and so much to see and do! We cannot wait to return, as it was our best beach vacation in many years!! (Top favorite things: the outside shower (amazing!) and bathroom (so convenient!), the decks around the upper levels were great for sitting outside at night and playing games or just talking, the full kitchen had everything we needed to make cooking so easy, and the crow's nest was absolutely amazing for views, pictures, and just relaxing!) It was the perfect house for a great vacation!!
