Corolla Light is the premiere subdivision on the northern Outer Banks. Voted the 2010 North Carolina Resort Community of the Year, Corolla Light has also been called a cruise ship on land. Not only does this ocean-to-sound community offer beautiful homes nestled among the trees, it also has both free and fee-based activities for kids of all ages; everything from weekly activities for younger kids, to billiards and Texas hold em competitions for teens and adults. Corolla Light is also home to the only oceanfront restaurant in Corolla, the Oceanfront Grill. Other extras in the Corolla Light Resort: Heated Oceanfront Pool, 25 Meter Heated Indoor Lap Pool, Soundside Outdoor Pool, Indoor Tennis Courts (fee), 12 Person Hot Tub, Free Wi-Fi, Pro Shop with Equipment Rentals and Tennis Pro on Staff, Lighted Basketball Courts, Sand Volleyball Court, Horseshoes, Snack Hut, Soundside Outdoor Fitness Area, and 8 Outdoor Tennis Courts.
Please note there is no parking on the streets. All vehicles must fit in the driveway of the property. No RV's, ATV's, golf carts, or boats are allowed inside the community. All trailers must fit under the property carport or be removed from the community.
Rules and Regulations
Curfew - Persons under the age of 18 should not be on any Corolla Light road, path, or other common property between 12 a.m (Midnight) and 5 a.m. Persons age 15 and under may not be on Corolla Light common property between 11 p.m and 6 a.m.
Fireworks - All fireworks (including sparklers and fire crackers) are forbidden by a strictly enforced Currituck County ordinance. Any person who violates this ordinance will be held liable for damages incurred to Corolla Light property.
Fishing Ponds - Fishing in Corolla Light ponds is catch and release only. Please do not cast near the fountains.
Inclement Weather - All activities, open air trolley service, and pool use (indoor and outdoor) will cease during inclement weather. Please see bulletin boards located throughout the resort for rescheduled activities.
Parking - Your Corolla Light parking pass must be displayed on the dashboard of your car when parking on the resort. Parking at the Oceanfront Complex is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is limited to 20 cars. We strongly encourage the use of the trolley system for all travel on the resort. There is a drop-off area at the Oceanfront Complex for unloading coolers, beach chairs, etc. (no unattended vehicles). Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense. Parking on the grass and/or street is not permitted.
Pets - All pets must be leashed at all times, per Currituck County ordinance. Pets are not allowed on Corolla Light pool decks. Please clean up after your pets. Dog stations are located throughout the resort for your convenience.
Problems with your rental home - If you have a problem with the home in which you are staying, please contact your rental company.
Recreational Vehicles - Segways, gas or electric scooters, and similar personal vehicles are not permitted on Corolla Light sidewalks or streets, unless licensed by the DMV. Additionally, trailers, boats, and campers may not be stored at your rental home unless they fit fully under the home.
Rollerblades, Roller Skates, Skateboards, and Bicycles are not permitted on basketball courts, tennis courts, or oceanfront walkways.

Tennis Courts - Reservations are required for use of all Corolla Light tennis courts and may be made by calling the Sports Center at (252) 453-4565. No cross-trainers or running shoes are permitted on the clay courts.
Towels Service for use at the Sports Center - Towel service is available at the Sports Center for $5 a day or $25 a week, per rental unit.
Trolley Service - In season (May 28 - September 1), look for the designated trolley stop closest to your home. Trolleys stop only at designated locations in order to keep waiting time to a minimum. Our enclosed trolley is handicapped-accessible.
Wristbands - Please wear your Corolla Light wristbands at all times on the resort in order to obtain access to all amenities and common areas. Guest not wearing wristbands will be asked to return to their rental homes to obtain them (strictly enforced).
