All Outer Banks Blue vacation rentals include bed linens, with beds made prior to your arrival for convenience. We also provide a starter supply of paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and toilet paper.

Been coming here for over 25 years
Sentimental Journey has been a special place for us to come and relax. We are here right now and we've rented Sentimental Journey the most of any rental in Duck over the last 25 years. There's just something about coming here that now makes us feel like home. It's certainly not perfect but it has given us many great memories, great views of the ocean and is currently getting a lot of attention with new decking, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new deck furniture and new area carpeting. We love it....and will continue to enjoy for years to come.

Spring break 2025
My family stayed here for April spring break and my daughter is special needs so the home was perfect. Lovely neighborhood and direct access to the beach. The house was super clean and cozy for all of us . We will definitely be back again soon

Overall very pleased Two complaints would be that the outside grill was to rusty to use and the oven did not regulate temperature correctly We were able to work around these issues and enjoy our stayThe new decking is beautiful and sturdyPlenty of room for our family Great water pressure in the showersPlenty of kitchen supplies Great neighborhood BEAUTIFUL

We have replaced the grill and had the oven looked at by an appliance repair person since your stay. Next time please let us know of any difficulties during your stay so we can correct them promptly and you can enjoy your stay fully. We are glad you had a great time in spite of these two issues.

Great Customer Service
The house needs some TLC for sure, but does have a great view and deck - it makes the house. Mattresses and the refrigerator need to be replaced just to start. We had issues with the new washing machine, a door, and some broken vents. Dan M came to fix them and couldn't have been more helpful. He had to leave to buy a new vent and came right back. Our internet went out when he was here and he was helpful with fixing it. He also saw boards on the deck that needed to be nailed down that we haven't even noticed. He was so patient and conscientious - he wanted to help us with every need. We tried to get him to stay for dinner - we didn't want him to leave!

Beautiful Views!
Sentimental Journey is a great house located in a quiet community. The view of the ocean can't be beat. The outdoor deck space is large and very functional with a covered section and a screened in section off of the kitchen. The top level has an open floor plan which we really enjoyed. The kitchen is huge and very functional. The only issue for us is that the beds were not very comfortable but napping on the beach or in the hammock is always an option. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great house with fabulous location

We really enjoyed our stay at Sentimental Journey. Excellent location with perfect water views. Morning sunrises were outstanding.The house was well laid out and very well cleaned/furnished/supplied. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star as there were numerous little details/issues that we listed for the rental agency to address - the property needs a little TLC in some areas. The location and views can't be beat!

Yes, Sentimental Journey has a gas grill that you will be able to use during your stay. 

Is the beach access right from the house or from the street to the side?
