Roanoke Island Festival Park is much more than a traditional museum. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits, meet historical interpreters, and experience what life was like for the first English settlers who arrived on Roanoke Island in the late 1500s.

One of the park's biggest attractions is the Elizabeth II, a full-size replica of a 16th-century English sailing ship similar to the vessels that brought settlers to Roanoke Island. Visitors can board the ship, explore the decks, and learn how sailors navigated the Atlantic more than 400 years ago from costumed interpreters.
