"Rum Runner was a great home for 6 of 7 siblings and our families to share a vacation ... SO MUCH SPACE along with the multiple refrigerators and dishwashers and the large amount of seating for meals around the 3rd level kitchen made it a perfect choice for our large group. Each bedroom having it's own bath, the house having it's own pool, and the pool table were the favorite features for our group. We noticed that you really don't hear much noise from others in the house so late nighters and early risers didn't bother anyone. Last, it really was affordable! When broken into a "per bedroom, per night price" and with the amenities above plus many more not mentioned, we all definitely agreed that there can't possibly be a better deal out there for a beautiful, comfortable Atlantic coast USA beach vacation!"

Awesome Vacation

"This was by far our favorite place to stay! We have been coming to the Outer Banks for the past few years and this house was the best house we have stayed at. They have everything you could possibly need here, from baby gates and strollers to every kitchen gadget you could want or need. We were very impressed! We were greeted by an Outer Banks Blue employee making sure everything was in order with the house. Something we have never experienced with the other companies we stayed with. We came with another family and aunts and grandparents so having three floors with TV/living spaces was great, giving everyone a place to relax. The weather was perfect allowing us to enjoy the pool and hotub, the TV outside was a nice touch especially with the stations we were able to find music to play and not worry about speakers getting wet. We can’t say enough about the house or the location for that matter. We plan on coming back next year, now we just need to decide whether it’s for one week or two! Great for friends and family

We had a blast at rum runner. Most of the bedrooms had 3 or more people and we didn't feel crowded. The pool, hot tub, and whole outdoor area was paradise. The convenience of items like baby gates and crockpots made it feel like home. Make sure you look in the info books for the drink recipes that inspired the toon names. We've stayed 3 times and can't wait to come back!

This is by far the best house we have ever stayed at, lots of room, large kitchen, 3 1/2 fridges, 2 dishwasher, pool hot tub lots of utensils, cooking pots and pans, lots of everything. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need, even delivered a chocolate cake to our house. Also provided a beach umbrella, child proof gates, and a couple vacuum sweepers. I would recommend making one of the 10 bedrooms with bunks, to throw all of the kids in. Other than that this house accommodated several families and always seemed empty- cannot say enough. It is close to the street, which is great for shopping the house is well insulated you do not hear the traffic.

The RUM RUNNER Getaway

"We have stayed in 'Rum Runner' for several years in a row now and the house always feels very welcoming and comforting. It truely has a home away from home feel. The spacious floor plan allows our large group to have room to share in each other's company while also having privacy at the same time. The fire place is warm and inviting. And a great place for everyone to sit and relax at the end of a long day. There is also nothing better than a hot tub when the air is cool. Some other amenities that we appreciate are the entertainment areas in all three levels. Just imagine football on one floor, News on the next and Disney & games on the other. A perfect situation that makes everyone happy. The large kitchen with two refrigerators and two dishwashers can handle a large group with ease. We love the 'Rum Runner' and look forward to returning each year. We always appreciate our time at the beach and the 'Rum Runner' house makes the trip a true getaway. "

Best vacation house in the Outer Banks!

"Rum Runner is the best vacation home i have stayed in while coming to the Outer Banks. It is so spacious, clean and the amenities are top notch. The location is perfect as well, so you are able to visit other areas of OBX without having to spend a lot of time driving. We had our wedding at the Kitty Hawk Pier and this house could not of been more perfect, it was an amazing backdrop for pictures while getting ready, as you can stand on the deck and see the ocean/pier. It was also great bc we had 9 other couples/families staying with us and everyone was able to walk from the reception to the house with no problem. Having the pool/hot tub and grill made lounging outside a lot of fun, especially with one of the kitchens being steps away. The house is great bc you can come with a big group and all stay together, yet the layout is perfect to where everyone is not always having to do the same thing. The rooms are big and private and there are many options on each level for entertaining. Our favorite part would definitely be the top level kitchen & living space, we were all able to be up there, eating, hanging out without ever feeling too crowded. Our week at the beach couldnt have gone better and Rum Runner played a vital part in that. We will be back to stay in the house again, as everyone agreed it was an amazing time. "
