Good morning from the Outer Banks. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80's today. It will be a great beach day today before the temperatures are expected to dip as fall approaches later this week. We should all plan on going to the beach and blending in today!
This week's Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from Janet Dehoux of Mathews, Virginia who stayed with Outer Banks Blue just last week at the property "Bikinis and Martinis" in Nags Head.
She sent this photo along of her grandchildren on the beach sneaking up on a flock of birds. Or are the birds sneaking up on them? Anyone have a cracker?! She entitled this photo "Do you think they see us?"
We love this shot of these guys blending in with nature on the beach. We bet this photo will provide a lot of laughs over their lifetime. "What were we thinking here?!" May be something that is said when they get together in about 20 years. "And why didn't grandma shoo these birds away from us?"
Thanks Janet. We got a good belly laugh out of this photo, and the popular opinion here at Everything Outer Banks is, No, we do not think the birds see them.
We are glad to share with you the fact that we are all getting back to normal this week on the Outer Banks. With the arrival of fall this weekend we hope that tropical weather threats may be waning and we can concentrate on cooler days and nights. There is nothing like a quiet walk on the beach in the morning in the fall. Everything seems so much more peaceful on the Outer Banks at this time of year. You should consider coming to see us soon!
Because her photo was used today, Janet is now eligible for our monthly drawing where we randomly pick a winner of our memory Monday photos to receive a $100 discount on their next stay with us at Outer Banks Blue.
