Elf on The Beach - Memory Monday 12/13/2021

Happy Holidays from the Outer Banks. We don't have a lot of guests staying on the OBX this week, but starting this weekend we will see a two week push of visitors. There is just something about being at the beach during the holidays that seems to resonate. Folks looking for an Elf on the beach!

Mild weather

has been the standard on the Outer Banks for the fall season. With winter approaching fast (next Tuesday, December 21st is the first day of winter) we can only hope that we continue to have great beach weather. Temperatures are expected to be mild at least through this coming weekend so we are excited to get out to the beach for daily walks. Fishing has been good as well along the beach. This is a great time of year to wet a line and enjoy the solitude of the ocean in December.

This week's Memory Monday photo submission is a real life elf on the beach. Mary Schellenger of Richmond, Virginia sent us this photo. It is of "Addie" her own version of the Elf on the shelf. Or Elf on the beach as we like to say!

Elf on the beach
Merry Christmas!

Mary stayed with Outer Banks Blue at the Nags Head vacation rental property Carolinian II over the Thanksgiving holiday. This looks like a perfect Christmas card photo to us. Thanks to Addie for posing as the elf on the beach, and thanks to Mary for sending along this week's photo.

We look forward to serving you all again soon. Happy holidays everyone. Be safe and be well!

All the best from the beach!
