July 4th Week Fun - Memory Monday 7/5/2021

Greetings from one of the most popular spots in the country! This week the Outer Banks is simply FULL. The beaches are being fully enjoyed, the weather is picture perfect, and everything seems to be just perfect for a July 4th week of fun.

Fireworks

were everywhere it seemed last night to celebrate the 245th birthday of the United States. The town of Manteo had fireworks on the waterfront. Nags Head had a wonderful display of fireworks on the Oceanfront at the Nags Head pier. Kill Devil Hills got in on the fun as well last night with thousands of people making their way to the Avalon pier to enjoy a spectacular display.

Tonight, Monday, July 5th, there will be a fireworks display in Corolla at the Whalehead Club. There is actually a full evening of festivities at the Whalehead club beginning at 5 PM. There will be food trucks, entertainment, and of course fireworks at 9 PM.

The Town of Duck usually has an annual parade, but that was cancelled this year. They look to bring that event back in 2022.

In short, this week is a great time to be at the beach!

This week's Memory Monday comes to us from Roger Horton who also enjoyed a great week at the beach just a few weeks ago. Roger, who hails from Mount Airy, North Carolina stayed with us in the Kill Devil Hills vacation rental property "Hooligan's Hideaway." One of our favorite property names by the way!

Riding the waves!
July 4th week
Cowabunga!

Even though these guys didn't get to enjoy the beach for the July 4th week, it sure seems like they had a great time while they were here!

We love the pictures Roger. Thank you for sharing them. We look forward to serving you and your family again soon.

All the best from the beach!
