Kill Devil Hills – One of the BEST!

USA Today “KDH Top 10 Weather Destination!”

We here at Everything Outer Banks enjoy reading the paper each day because you just never know what you are going to see, and last Tuesday was a good example of that.

The USA Today newspaper mentioned Kill Devil Hills as one of the top 10 destinations where the weather is “just right.”

Let the Sunshine In!

The article suggested that there are 10 destinations world wide where weather is temperate year round, and Kill Devil Hills was named in the number 2 spot behind Loja, Equador.  Specficially the article said of KDH:

A beachfront city whose temperatures are known for avoiding extremes, summertime in Kill Devil Hills presents pleasant beach weather with temperatures averaging in the mid-70s to high-80s range. Winter months make way for cooler climates, but even then lows rarely if ever drop below 30 F and average highs are typically somewhere within the 50 to 60 degree range.
Best time to visit: June-September

We of course agree wholeheartedly with this recognition, but would expand the review of KDH to include Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, Duck and Corolla for anyone considering an upcoming vacation!

The remainder of the top 10 Weather destinations included:

-Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
-Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
-Malaga, Spain
-Cyprus
-Liguria, Italy
-Marseille, France
-Christchurch, New Zealand
-Gibraltar, Spain

The article was actually reprinted by The USA today, and originally appeared on the website “The Active Times.”

All the best from one of the top 10 weather destinations!
