Greetings from a blustery Outer Banks on this Memory Monday. We are under a Tropical storm watch right now, but expect that to change to a warning (meaning conditions for a Tropical Storm will arrive within 36 hours), and rain will move into the area tonight. The good news is the storm (unnamed still, but will become Irma if it reaches tropical storm strength) is expected to move through the area rapidly and clear skies will return for this week's rental guests. Maybe by Wednesday we will have clear skies and great beach weather again.So this is the last full week before Labor day and this summer is winding down quickly. We get a lot of photos here and we have a bit of a backlog.n We actually have more than 100 photos in the queue ready to go. Over the next few weeks we will be grouping photos of common themes and including sunrises, sunsets, storms, family portraits and the like. Look for those photos starting next Monday here on Memory Monday.
So one thing we get a lot of photos of are those over-sized wooden beach chairsthat are found around the Outer Banks at various businesses. There is one at Wal Mart in Kitty Hawk, Ace Hardware has one, Super Wings has one in place, there are a lot of them, and we get a lot of photos of our guests sitting in those chairs.
